Most of what you’ll read here is life and fun, with episodes from my past, amusing and serious. But I have an unwelcome stranger lodged in my brain, as you’ll find if you explore my stories. Our destinies are interlocked, but its deadly presence reminds me every minute that each day of life is a miracle. This is my space to reflect on life, and an interactive area where we can share our experiences freely. Without you, this blog has no reason for existence. Carpe Diem!

To blog or not to blog...
So it is with blogs. People can be offended by their impersonality. As you will see if you read my very first entry, you will understand why I am hesitant to throw my personal life open to the world, yet feel some people may appreciate not having to ask, and others may welcome the chance to discuss and share some matters of common interest.
Anyway, it’s your choice to read as much, as little or absolutely none of it! And that’s how it should be. Older posts go back to 9 September. Remember, this whole thing is a work in progress.

Some iPads simply refuse to post responses. I have no idea why, but be aware of this.

I for one, am grateful for the updates. Will continue to ask however!
ReplyDeleteFor me, it doesn't matter if the words are transcribed with ink; tapped out on keyboard; spoken; sung; conveyed in splashes of paint ... it's all communication, relating, sharing. Yes, we have new mediums of expression but all equally valid. It's how many of us 'connect' and 'reconnect', irrespective of where we are on the planet ... we can share eachother's journeys. I think it's wonderful :)
ReplyDeleteVery true, Dianne. A warm welcome, after some 8 years, to this corner of my life. Thanks so much for your comments.
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about that author who imperiously refused the blog. Maybe he should have considered it from the blogger's point of view - though I admit some blogs are inane. I read one where a young woman spent a lot of words discussing whether she should sacrifice the third conditioner rinse and only have two, in order to help save the environment. Yes, she was serious!
ReplyDeleteMaybe the author has a bit of an ego problem....
