- those who haven't made it
- to think about those who are fighting, with little hope, as they approach the final stages
- and especially, those who are fighting with us not only to keep us alive, but to give us quality of life, which is really the most important thing of all for cancer survivors. I hope all of those who are currently cancer survivors are able to get across to those who care about them and look after them that they appreciate these constant efforts and thoughts.
Cancer patients can be irritable and seemingly ungrateful. We may be demanding, fearful, angry, and self-absorbed. Our illness may even take away our capacity for concern for others who are doing everything for us they can.
I just want to say a big thank you on behalf of us all, if some of us are unable to. We survive because of you.
